Kimberly has spent over two decades working with flowers, something she still finds hard to believe. What started as a job she never expected to leave turned into a lifelong passion, and in 2006, she stepped into ownership of what would eventually become The Lavender House, shaping it into the creative, community, driven space it is today . Now, more than 20 years later, she’s not only still designing with flowers, she’s built a life around them. She's so proud to have built:

Meet Elaine, A New Chapter Rooted in Creativity

Elaine’s story is one of courage and rediscovery. After 35 years in banking and administrative roles, she stepped into a completely new chapter, one filled with creativity, flowers, and community. Now working at The Lavender House with no previous floral experience, she brings a fresh perspective and a genuine love for learning and creating. Outside of the shop, Elaine is always exploring. She knits, teaches herself piano, plays mahjong with friends, and stays active with Pilates, golf, and walking. She also loves to cook and travel, which explains her airplane tattoo. But above everything, her proudest role is being a mother to her two daughters. Her bouquet, The Elaine, reflects her personality. Thoughtful, brightens any room, and always well put together. |

Becky has always found her way back to flowers, no matter what she’s doing. She jokes that her main hobby is collecting hobbies, but somehow they all revolve around the same thing. She draws flowers, paints them, photographs them, grows them, and now designs with them. It’s less of a hobby and more of a lifelong creative thread that keeps evolving. Her artistic side extends beyond the shop as well, where she shares more of her work through her own space, Tiny Dots There’s a playful, expressive energy to everything Becky creates. Bright colours, unexpected details, and arrangements that feel full of life. She even jokes that she hasn’t figured out how to drum or dance with flowers yet, but she’s working on it. Her design style is also deeply influenced by her love of thrifting. Her bouquet, The Becky, is designed in a vintage teacup because she loves thrifting, and it best reflects her signature “grandma chic” style. It’s nostalgic, charming, and full of personality. Beyond her creativity, Becky is most proud of her family. She has raised an amazing son and is also a loving bonus mom to her husband’s children, something that brings even more meaning into the work she creates. Her bouquet, The Becky, is vibrant, joyful, and thoughtfully unique. A true reflection of her style and spirit. |
